The Duke & The King are a glam-soul-folk quartet from New York featuring Simone Felice, Bobbie Bird Burke, Simi Stone and Nowell Haskins. Named after the traveling Shakespeare hustlers in The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn these curious blood-brothers (and sweet sister) have found a home together, a traveling Church of Harmony and Sin where its OK to french kiss your cousin and all strays are welcome to come out of the cold and sing along to these songs of love, loss, pathos, and hope.

Doctor L, emminent artist of the emerging french hip hop scene (Assasin, Kabal), free-lance member of the now classic french touch movement (Source Lab I & II compilations with Air, Daft Punk...), talented producer (Lenine, Tony Allen, Screamin' Jay Hawkins, Bumcello, Mike 'Clip' Payne & Gary Mudbone Cooper From Funkadelic, James Blood Ulmer) and sought-after remixer (Neneh Cherry, Salif Keita, Gangstarr, Ice-T, David Murray & Pharoah Sanders...), has also four albums under his own name (Exploring The Inside World, Temple On Every Street, Monkey Dizzyness, Forgotten Tracks From The Hard Drive) and numerous satellites projects (Psyco, Psyco On Da Bus, Kactus Hunters, Rare Moods, Not Your Frequency, Broken, Da Linck). One of the most essential artist of the last ten years has now launched his own label, Mind Records and he's back in 2009 with his most ambitious record yet.
