Hiperbole's latest signing Loopez teams up with Renegades Of Jazz for the Jungle Haze EP. Their idea of producing some tunes together turned quickly into some very productive sessions and after sending their works back and forth through the wires of the Atlantic ocean they produced two Latin tunes of joy. Jungle Haze comes with flawless trombone arrangements and a catchy hook and the latin-styled organ, played by Loopez and some moody vibes from the jungle. Remixed by Berlin based superproducer Batsauce (Producer of Lady Daisey) the track gets more haze and dusty deepness through his amazing rework. The Lapwing Strut is a more downtempo, but no less wonderful, track and again shows how good they feel working together. This tune is a hymn for the head-nodder and toe-tipper on the promenade watching Lapwings struttin' for the other gender. Remixed by Bastard Jazz artist, Jugoe from Chicago, who gives the original a banging basslinea and some great Ironside sweeps, the Lapwing turned into a modern club manifest.

Country is the new single from Tom Eno and follows a string of releases and remixes for artists including The Seal Cub Clubbing Club, Renegades of Jazz, Mr Confuse and Cookshop Records. The track was written last summer whilst rehearsing in a barn in deepest Hampshire, and is the first track from the new second long player Jackknife, featuring Mr James Bright solely on vocals and new band member Will Benger on drums. Hailing from downtown Winchester, Tom's distinctive playing style blends classical Spanish and jazz guitar, drawing inspiration from jazz masters Charlie Byrd and Django Reinhardt as well as classical guitarists and composers such as Segovia and Villa-Lobos. His sound has been turning heads with hefty praise from heavyweight DJs & tastemakers alike including BBC Radio 1's Rob Da Bank and Hôtel Costes, who featured his track Tijuana on one of their compilations.

This summer sees the release of the All This Beauty EP from Madball Scientists, a collaboration between André Lamb from New Zealand and David Hanke from Germany. They teamed up back in 2007 via MySpace and started building up their songs by sending parts back and forth. In summer 2009 they had the chance to meet for the first time in Germany, they locked all the doors, closed the curtains and weren't seen for two weeks, until they finished their debut album, Space Tapes. The opener All This Beauty is a dedication to the beauty of space and comes with a nice groove with a jazzy and bluesy construct of mellowness. The grandmaster of Downbeat, Jean-Yves Prieur a.k.a. Kid Loco, turned All This Beauty more into the blues corner with his awesome organ and piano-driven remix. Sometimes It's Voodoo shows the scientists love for the occult and ancient parts of music, and comes with some moody vibes and tough sounding beats, while Far Out puts the listener back into deep space with its simple and relaxing beauty.
