Antibalas and Doctor L - Family Affair

Antibalas Afrobeat Orchestra had some spare time during their last 2006 french tour... They jumped in Doctor L's studio on a lazy sunday afternoon, and cooked with him a killer afrobeat version of Sly Stone's classic Family Affair! At the end of the day, this future classic was done and everything's in there: Fela-inspired vocals from the all-mighty Amayo, phat afro-broken beat, sweat horns and chorus vocals and the magic Doctor's touch on the production... A Strictly limited 45 was released on the Mind Service label, quickly selling out. Comes summer 2009, Martin Perna and Amayo visiting us...
