Il est vraiment le nouveau prodige de la scène brésilienne, son album Sem Nostalgia sorti à la fin de l'été sur le label anglais Mais Um Discos, est un petit bijou polyculturel, privilégiant le groove, les ambiances chaudes et tranquilles, le songwriting et la bossa nova.

Mais Um Gringo runs Mais Um Discos, a record label for Brazilian artists who fuse styles, disregard genres and irritate purists. Featuring new Brazilian artists influenced by Tropicalia as well as a couple of original nuggets, Mais Um Gringo's Tropigringalia mix is the sound of Tropicalia in 2011 reimagined by a gringo. Mais Um Gringo has just launched the first in a new series of EPs that chart Brazil's many new genres and artists and three tracks from the first EP Mais Um Discos presents Nova-Tropicalia. Mais Um Discos presents Nova-Tropicalia was compiled by DJ Mais Um Gringo and is the first in the series of download-only EPs from the label, following the critically acclaimed Oi! A Nova Musica Brasileira! compilation and the Sem Nostalgia album by Lucas Santtana. It showcases six artists - Catarina Dee Jah, Do Amor, Cerebro Electronico feat. Tulipa, Lucas Santtana, Mini Box Lunar and Diego e O Sindicato - who cannibalize Brazilian and international influences to create a 21st century take on tropicalia. Two further EPs are planned for 2011 - a 6 tracker featuring the heaviest Amazonian 'Tecnobrega' and 'Eletromelody' dancehall sounds plus a look at Northeastern Brazil's folk revival scene.
