The Procussions - Simple Song (Grant Phabao Remix)
Tuesday 14 November 2006, 07:39 2
In those hard times when government individuals thrive more and more on the poor, it's really nice to meet educated and involved artists. The Procussions are that kind of people, nice, intelligent and with something to say, without ever losing their natural cool. This is rare enough to be pointed out... Their latest album, 5 Sparrows For 3 Cents, was released earlier this year in the US but only in november 2006 in Europe. It's top-of-the-notch L.A. hip hop, funky, old school, with plenty of sunshine, so we thought at Paris DJs headquarters that it could be a good idea to try and do a...
Lee McDonald - We've Only Just Begun (Grant Phabao One Drop Rework)
Sunday 08 October 2006, 23:57 2
An incredible reggae soul remix that's been bootleged by the infamous thief that is Pascal Rioux / Favorite Recordings. We ordered him not to release this since his conditions were not interesting at all and since he had stolen thousands of euros from us in The Pusher Distribution company we had launched together but he did it anyway. He then sent us a letter saying he had sold the first pressing and was not pressing it again and that it was deleted from sale everywhere. Alas that was a lie and he put the mp3 on sale everywhere. It's still available in a few online stores as of January 2009....
The Mackrosoft - The Immortality Project (Grant Phabao Remix)
Tuesday 01 August 2006, 17:17 1
This track is not for music categories, but for recipe books : take elements from a US West coast jazz/funk lounge number [For example, "The Immortality Project" by Seattle's funkateers The Mackrosoft]. Select the 70's groovy melody of the Fender Rhodes and wah-wah guitar, of course. Cherish the sax licks from multiple-man Skerik. Don't forget the organ stylings from former Beastie Boys collaborator Money Mark. Then get the whole thing drenched into deep dub territory by expert in sound manipulation Grant Phabao. Don't get lost into deep Studio One or Rhythm & Sound dub but...
DJ Guarana & Gino Rossi - Latino Fiesta In Paris
Wednesday 26 July 2006, 20:42 3
Our second virtual release is a mix of samba and electronic grooves, with an undeniable measure of humor that revels in the duality of being both respectfully influenced by and satyrically critical of the Latin-meets-electronic music sound. The music in itself is a nice mix of Latin percussion and melodies, done up in a smooth, slightly French nu-jazz style....

[Frederic Messent/Indamixworldwide]
"Remember David Livingstone's reggae classic '(Message To You) Rudie'? Well, that cut which would eventually be covered at the end of the seventies by UK outfit The Specials turning it onto what was know as ska at the time makes a winning return to its homeland with a brand new rendition of Grant Phabao starring Lone Ranger & Carlton Livingston (check out Phabao's dub) on T.I.M.E.C. A cut to be released on a 500 copies limited edition next March, so hurry up when it comes!"

Grant Phabao - Kulchaklash starring Lone Ranger, Ray I, Danny Dread & Simon Diamond
Friday 01 July 2005, 20:45 2

Grant Phabao - "Kulchaklash starring Lone Ranger, Ray I, Danny Dread & Simon Diamond"
(TIMEC 2004)

Lone Ranger & Carlton Livingston - Rudie
Tuesday 21 June 2005, 13:06

Lone Ranger & Carlton Livingston
"Rudie"
(Silver Bullet/T.I.M.E.C.)
