Weird Al Yankovic - Alapalooza

'Weird Al' Yankovic - "Alapalooza"
(Scotti Bros, 5 Octobre 1993)

Billy Ray Cyrus lui prend très cher dans "Achy breaky song" : 'Don't play that song, that achy breaky song, the most annoying song I know, and if you play that song, I might blow up your radio, ooooo'. There's somethin' wrong in the fridge today, I don't know what it is, food I can't recognize, My roommate won't throw a thing away, I guess it's probably his, It looks like it's alive… And livin' in the fridge…'. À noter aussi le très court (et très culte) "Harvey the wonder hamster" ('he doesn't bite and he doesn't squeal, he just runs around on his hamster wheel'), et enfin pour clore l'album une version polka de "Bohemian rhapsody" de Queen assez hallucinante.

Venezuela 70 - Cosmic Visions Of A Latin American Earth - Venezuelan Experimental Rock In The 1970s (CD/2LP, Soul Jazz, 2016)

English label Soul Jazz Records released this summer a collection of experimental rock recorded in Venezuela in the 1970s, at a time when oil was flowing in abundance and consequently culture rather well subsidized. However, this music had never really got out of the country until now, it's really a...
