Press Release :
Just as the sun finally reaches our rain-laden shores, First Word is back with another killer EP for the summer. Following on from the success of the last Two Syllabes EP back in November we've coaxed out a few bona-fide club bangers from the First Word vaults.

First up, Kidkanevil has remixed Zebra Traffic's Dirty Diggers on the bollywood-infused 'Don't Know About That'. With new vocals from MAx and Pat and insistent, accordian beat, this is already a favourite on the floors. Big!

Mike-L follows up his great 7" from February with Schrodinger's Scat. The usual heavy Mike-L drums are present and correct with a catchy vocal hook reminiscent of early Mr Scruff. Trust us, this will be in your head for days.

On the flip, label boss, DMC-finalist and all round party-rocker Andy H brings us the seismic Kick Kick. Definitely one for the clubs this has a bassline that should carry a health warming. HEAVY!

Last up we have the return of Testament's Homecut, four years on from their debut (the first release on First Word!) Night At The Fayre is an uptempo club cut that wouldn't feel out of place on a classic Roots album. Dope rhymes, heavy beats wih a fantastic live fell, this signposts the way to Homecut's debut album due out later in the year. Keep 'em peeled kids!

Also included in this mailout is a collection of instrumentals from our new signing Eliphino. Seasons is the first of many more amazing collections of beats that we're gonna be giving away this year. Fans of Dilla, Pete Rock, Four Tet and FlyingLotus will be all over this - reactions welcome.
