Press Release :
The most innovative, risk-taking and outrageous hip hop act to come out of France in the last decade, TTC are back. With Cuiziner established as a heartthrob in the US, Teki Latex set to release a pop-rave album and Tido Berman concentrating on advanced, heavy-lidded sativation, the trio are taking things higher with their third album, "3615TTC". With production from the group’s flying helmet-wearing DJ, Orgasmic, the mighty Para One, Tacteel, Modeselektor and Tido himself, this is the band’s most consistent, distinctive effort.
The record kicks off with a nod to Monsieur Gainsbourg as TTC get finger-snapping on "Quand Je Claque Des Doigts", Para One rigging up a beat that is as weird as it is catchy. "Paris Paris" drops love for the mostest city in the world over a martial rhythm, "Turbo" shows Para’s taste for emolectro. "Travailler" ("Work") is all about making it look easy. "Ce Pou Vous" finds the group twisting r&b into new shapes for your benefit. "Antenne 2" is classic French pop chopped into small pieces and put back together. Tido contributes the wigged out instrumental "J’ai le son" before Tacteel throws in a terrifyingly satanic re-work of the hokey kokey and then the group get dirty on "Strip Pour Moi". Only in France would an artichoke play such an important metaphorical role… "Ambition" is more uplifting kitsch, a reminder of the sweet, beating heart of the group. Finally, allies Modeselektor finish things off with some cut up club music.
Brearthtakingly clever, silly, profound, shallow and beautiful, "3615TTC" is that rare thing, an album which sounds like no other.

Vous rigolez ca va être horrible! TTc c'était bien pour CECI N EST PAS UN DISQUE maintenant c'est des démeurés ya plus rien de nouveau! Il se répète et se répète...ce qui était bien pour BATARD SENSIBLE c'est la nouveauté, mais là ils stagnent avec des rimes de merde et des instrus faciles... plus que déçu par le trailer, et FROTTE TON CUL PAR TERRE, PARIS PARIS, TELEPHONE, que j'ai pu entendre en entier... Horrible! J'espere que le reste sera mieux, mais j'ai très très peur!!

TTC ça n'a jamais été "bien"!
A la limite au début c'était "rigolo", un track ou deux, mais bon vu la faiblesse des textes, c'en est vite devenu ridicule et gonflant (et inversement).
Je me souviens en avoir glissé un mot à Kev (DJ Food) il m'avait répondu qu'en Angleterre personne ne comprenait un mot des paroles donc ils s'en foutaient un peu...
Quelques prods sortaient la tête de l'eau par rapport au hip hop français mainstream, certes, mais bon il reste toujours les anglo saxons et là désolé mais y'a pas photo TTC restaient loin derrière.
Bon bien sûr je ne parle là des albums précédents, pas du nouveau que je n'ai pas encore écouté... si ça se trouve il est terrible, mais d'un coup je pense à un de mes vieux potes: Jean Doute. -

ouais c'est sur que l'effet d'originalité passé TTC perd de sa saveur surtout devant leur attitude prétentieuse et arriviste, je m'e souviens en avoir glissé un mot a evguéni (Dj Vadim) qui me disais q'effectivement si ça continue ils finiront par etre aussi mauvais que lui dans bluebird...
Je lui ait répondu qu'il ne fallait pas déconner mais que l'idéal aurait été (meme si cela ne s'accorderait pas) la qualité des textes des ce n'est pas un disque et la qualité des son de batard sensible mais c'est sans compter qu'un certain para one fini lui aussi par explorer des contrés douteuses aux tons pastels qui sont loin de l'univers TTC -

TTC's lyrics ARE fun and innovating because shockingly machist and arrogant. of course it's mainly about sex, fame and having fun but when i go to a club i'm not asking for pseudo philosophical thoughts. take it easy guys

Je suis d'accord sur le fait que cet album est décevant, mais il réserve quand même quelques bonnes surprises. Je les ai vu en concert hier soir à Toulouse, et j'ai bien apprécié.

I mean LISTENED iy's not just machotalk
look at the more sensitive material and off course
their infergettable live performances.
TTc isn't anticon but it has it's own ideas and themes
enjoy or don't simple as that -

I've listened to nearly everything they've put out. What's amazing is that their getting less and less listenable. First album was really poor lyrically, now even the music is poor. Haven't seen them live though and everyone told me they were the real shit onstage...

ça y est je les ai vu en concert a nantes jeudi dernier, ct génial. bon il fo connaitre les paroles pr réussir à les deviner. mais sinon, tip top, ils font trop rêver!!! g un autgraphe de tido berman en plus!!!!
