Treva Whateva - We Have The Technology
(12") Ninja Tune ZEN12154, 2005-06-27

A1. Dustbowl : Hum.
A2. Music's Made Of Memories : Treva n'avait jamais encore top donné dans l'electro-bossa.
B1. We Have The Technology : Treva Whateva a décidé de bouger les foules, tous les bras en l'air en train de sauter dans tous les sens sur une ligne de basse bien méchante. Ajoutez-y une bonne grosse dose de samples de films de série Z (afin d'assister en même temps à "the birth of the world's first bionic man"), une louche de samples improbables pour une ambiance de jungle amazonienne et vous obtenez un Frankenstein pour dancefloor en forme de broken dancehall! ça c'est du final ou je ne m'y connais pas.

Venezuela 70 - Cosmic Visions Of A Latin American Earth - Venezuelan Experimental Rock In The 1970s (CD/2LP, Soul Jazz, 2016)

English label Soul Jazz Records released this summer a collection of experimental rock recorded in Venezuela in the 1970s, at a time when oil was flowing in abundance and consequently culture rather well subsidized. However, this music had never really got out of the country until now, it's really a...
