2. Roots drummer ?uestlove tapped as support for NYC
3. The Beast in the East, GBA bringing the boogaloo East for New Years with Soulive
4. First new album in 9 years to be released in March

1. GBA will be performing their annual pre New Years ritual of playing at home in southern California for two shows on December 22 at the Coach House in San Juan Capistrano and December 23rd at the Belly Up in Solona Beach just outside San Diego at the Belly Up. These shows traditionally sell out in advance and should provide the West Coast with a good listen to many of the songs off the new record and a taste of what the East is in store for on NYE. Tix can be found at Ticketmaster, the venue box offices for no service charge and during our presale at www.greyboyallstars.com.

2. We are very pleased to announce the addition of our (everybodys) hero, drummer extraordinare ?uestlove of The Roots to our New York City show at the Nokia Theater on Dec. 29th. Quest will be providing the beats he is known for as DJ supreme to spice up the evening Philly style.

3. All roads lead to our first New Years shows on the East Coast ever, with our friends Soulive at the legendary 9:30 club in our nations capitol on December 30 and 31. This is one of the best live music venues in the country and should make for two incredible nights. You can expect no shortage of collaborations and surprises as the clock strikes midnight. The band has sold through their allotment of tix for NYE but the venue is still selling. Please check the band website for more info...

4. The Greyboy Allstars first new studio album in nine years, What Happened to TV?, will be released in March of 2007. We have just completed new mixes with Russel "The Dragon" Elevado, best known for his grammy award winning mixes on albums by D'Angelo, The Roots and Alicia Keys. The DJ Greyboy produced record features current tour staples Deck Shoes and Left Coast Boogaloo as well as the title track, alongside soon to be classics How Glad I Am featuring Silverlake ladies The Living Sisters, Still Waiting, Don't Touch My V Neck Sweater and many more. The band will be on the road both domestically and internationally for most of 2007 promoting the new record, kicking off with a performance at the Langerado music festival in Miami on March 10th.

Speech Debelle - Freedom Of Speech
(CD/LP/Digital) Big Dada Recordings BD193, 2012-02-06

Two years since winning the 2009 Mercury Music Prize for her debut album, Speech Therapy, and having ridden a rollercoaster through life since then, Speech Debelle is ready to drop her second collection of music. Entitled Freedom of Speech, the album sees Speech turning from introspection to stand up, face and engage with the world around her, spitting confident themes of revolution and love. A first taste of the album came in the aftermath of this summer's riots, when Speech reacted immediately, leaking the track Blaze Up A Fire, (also featuring Roots ManuvaRealism), a track about political revolution written months before. Now the build-up begins to the release of Freedom of Speech in early February 2012 with the free download of the track Studio Backpack Rap. From political to musical revolution, Speech describes the track as being "all about virtual instrumentation and an ode to KwesSpeech Therapy, while showcasing just one aspect of her remarkable new album.
