Press Release :
Not content with mugging the music world with the critically-acclaimed "London Zoo" album, The Bug returns with two tracks that have been smashing it on dubplate. Regularly played out by the likes of Kode9, Digital Mystikz and Skream, demand for a general release has grown to the point where it was unignorable.

You can probably guess what "Ganja" is an ode to, The Bug's bass assault and Roll Deep's Flowdan and Killa P in rapid fire lyrical mode combining to give off a skunky flavour of cannabis psychosis. "Flying," featuring Roots Manuva right hand man Ricky Ranking, is more laid back – a rinsed out, trippy, almost meditative piece.

The acclaim for "London Zoo" has been a victory for Kevin Martin's uncompromising musical stance. This 12" reminds us why.

Press for "London Zoo":
"Thrillingly dystopic futurism. It's beautiful, in a most gnarly fashion." Plan B
"Hovers immaculate between beauty and fear" Album of Issue - Wire
"Better than anything else out this week by precisely 312%." Guardian Guide
"The book of revelation, if set to music." Observer
"Searing." Mojo 4/5
"Putting the spring back into dubstep. Magnificent." Word
"Boris Johnson's worst nightmare - which makes this the sound of 2008, whether you feel it or not." NME 8/10
"Serious music for serious times." Rock Sound 9/10
"Righteous, violent, scary and brilliant work." Mixmag 4/5
"Glorious in its thunderous bleakness. It's impossible to play this loud enough." Metro 4/5

Venezuela 70 - Cosmic Visions Of A Latin American Earth - Venezuelan Experimental Rock In The 1970s (CD/2LP, Soul Jazz, 2016)

English label Soul Jazz Records released this summer a collection of experimental rock recorded in Venezuela in the 1970s, at a time when oil was flowing in abundance and consequently culture rather well subsidized. However, this music had never really got out of the country until now, it's really a...
