En l'espace de deux albums, "Start breaking my heart" et "Up in flames", Manitoba s'est imposé sur un scène psyché-electronico-pop (allant de Radiohead à Aphex Twin!), uniquement sur la bonne foi de sa musique kaléidoscopique, mutante, bigarée et pas exactement joyeuse. Le premier fut timidement remarqué, le second encensé par l'ensemble de la presse spécialisée, tout comme les maxis sortis entre-deux, "Give'r", "If Assholes Could Fly This Place Would Be An Airport" et "Jacknuggeted". Certains argumentent qu'avec Primal Scream, Mercury Rev, les Flaming Lips ou Spiritualized on déjà fait le tour de la question, d'autres y opposent l'utilisation ici probante du laptop... 2 MP3, 12 morceaux en streaming et 2 vidéos à télécharger devraient vous suffire pour vous faire votre propre opinion.
