Review :
I must admit I never heard any Kidkanevil track before, but if Miss Yarah Bravo accepted to sing for the guy then talent musn't be far cos' One Self's lady's got plenty of (good) taste. And you won't be disappointed by this firing collaboration, kinda tribalisticly minimal, with nearly reggaton banging drums, a funky flute, cool breaks and scratched stylings. The B-side is more in the Mr Scruff/Kid Koala vein, with old school jazz leanings, funny samples, nonsense and more scratching. That's two good reasons to get the vinyl for your DJ Bag, while we start waiting for a supacool album hopefully... Djouls

Press Release :
Having made your brains bounce with his last offering, the sell out single 'Kranium Rock', Kidkanevil is back with a tune that should carry a frickin health warning! This is HOT!

With One Self's Yarah Bravo on MC duties, 'F.I.R.E' does exactly what it says on the tin, as Miss B spits like an angelic firecracker over the kid's colossal bomb-like beats. FIIIYYYAAA!!!

The flip, 'The Lo-Fi Club' is a low-slung jazz workout, straight out of a 1940's speakeasy, that rocks fl oors and drops jaws. Ellington would be proud.

This release is already receiving mad props from Mr. Scruff, Diesler, Louis Slipperz and more - our kidkanevil's sound is growin up so fast we're gonna have to get bigger ears to fit it all in!

The album, 'Problems and Solutions', touches down early next year showcasing the kid's awesome production talents and featuring some very special collaborations indeed. You have been warned…

Add to this the fact that the man will soon be joining his band, Stateless, in support of DJ Shadow's tour as well as completing a remix for Tru-thoughts records and we think you'll agree - this kid's gonna blow up!
