Plutôt sympa le trio de jazz Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey nous offrent un quatuor de reprises de standards jazz, en formation acoustique: Jason Smart (batterie, percussions), Reed Mathis (basse acoustique espagnole, violoncelle) et Brian Haas (piano acoustique) reprennent "Off Minor" (Thelonious Monk, 4,1 Mo 128 kbbps MP3), live au Knitting Factory à New York le 19 Octobre 2003, ainsi que "In a Sentimental Mood" (Duke Ellington, 6.6 Mo MP3), "Central Park West" (John Coltrane, 6 Mo MP3) et "Up Jumped Spring" (Freddie Hubbard, 9.5 Mo MP3), tous trois enregistrés live au Montage, à Rochester (NY) le 14 Octobre 2003. Bref c'est du trié sur le volet, tout récent tout chaud à peine sorti de l'encodeur mp3 et déjà en ligne sur leur site. Vu que ça déchire pas mal et que les enregistrements sont d'excellente qualité, les amateurs de jazz auraient tort de s'en priver.
