Square Records were right there on spot at the start of the current re-edits craze, with amazing reworks from
Onur Engin. The latest edition of their highly collectable 12 inches has arrived at the end of last year and as usual it's a 1000 copies worldwide, no re-press and no digital release affair, on which we advise to jump on before it's too late. This time
Robert Luis aka Nirobi, A&R and co-founder of
Tru Thoughts Recordings and a world-renowned DJ is the guest of honor, with 4 new edits of choice and their augmented dancefloor boogieness. You might be surprised, but even though there's fantastic re-edits from
Soho,
St Tropez or
Paul McCartney in there, for us the revered treasure of the lot is the
Mick Hucknall one (yep, the singer from
Simply Red!), whose
Farther Up The Road originally found on his 2008
Tribute to Bobby (a tribute to the blues musician Bobby "Blue" Bland), should turn all soulful dancefloors upside down, each time, guaranteed! We'll be playing this gem in the upcoming
