Greyboy Allstars new album!!

The Greyboy Allstars new release "What Happened to TV?", features the band reunited with producer DJ Greyboy and will be out in early 2007.

The Greyboy Allstars biography :
Launching out of San Diego in the early 90s with a fanbase of surfers, skaters and snowboarders, The Greyboy Allstars blend of hip hop beats, soul jazz grooves and indie rock attitude created the West Coast Groove sound that made great fans of modern day bands like Sublime, The Roots and Lenny Kravitz. Since then, their music has appeared in countless films ( including Zero Effect and Get Shorty) and extreme sports videos while the live set has built a loyal fan base with their sold-out performances nationwide, who come out to watch the "five guys from San Diego kick the living daylights out of bristling jazz-funk . . ."(Neil Tesser, Chicago Reader).

During the band's six year touring hiatus, the members have kept their playing hot with solo projects. Guitarist Elgin Park (aka Mike Andrews) has been creating award winning scores for films such as Donnie Darko (which sparked a number one hit in the UK last year with his cover of "Mad World") and the critically acclaimed Me and You and Everyone We Know, as well as producing records by Inara George, Elgin Park, Gary Jules, Jarvis Cocker and Metric. Karl Denson's band, Tiny Universe has remained a mainstay on the international concert circuit for years (when he is not recording with the likes of the Blind Boys of Alabama, Guster and Jack Dejohnette and Dave Holland).

Robert Walter's 20th Congress has also toured extensively, and Robert's duties fronting The Headhunters keeps his jazz cred maxed. The incredible rythym section of Bassist Chris Stillwell and drummer Zak Najor have been doing extensive session work and touring with Inara George, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band and others.

The band is reuniting in the studio with co-founder and producer DJ Greyboy for the new album, the first time they have worked together since 1995's West Coast Boogaloo.

Karl Denson - Sax, Flute, Vocals, & Percussion
Robert Walter - Keyboards
Chris Stillwell - Bass, Vocals
Elgin Park - Guitar, Vocals
Zak Najor - Drums, Percussion, Vocals

Speech Debelle - Freedom Of Speech
(CD/LP/Digital) Big Dada Recordings BD193, 2012-02-06

Two years since winning the 2009 Mercury Music Prize for her debut album, Speech Therapy, and having ridden a rollercoaster through life since then, Speech Debelle is ready to drop her second collection of music. Entitled Freedom of Speech, the album sees Speech turning from introspection to stand up, face and engage with the world around her, spitting confident themes of revolution and love. A first taste of the album came in the aftermath of this summer's riots, when Speech reacted immediately, leaking the track Blaze Up A Fire, (also featuring Roots ManuvaRealism), a track about political revolution written months before. Now the build-up begins to the release of Freedom of Speech in early February 2012 with the free download of the track Studio Backpack Rap. From political to musical revolution, Speech describes the track as being "all about virtual instrumentation and an ode to KwesSpeech Therapy, while showcasing just one aspect of her remarkable new album.
