Release info :
- The first single from No Ground Under (ZEN138 / ZENCD138) out October 31th in Canada
- Ghislain adds Face-T, a Montrealer by way of Jamaica, who provides some ragga bravado on vocals, to an impressive list of collaborators: Beans, TTC, Lady Sovereign, Champion, Buck 65, Lotek Hi-Fi, Pole, Radioinactive, DJ/rupture, DJ Collage, Omnikrom, Diverse, Bassnectar, Les Georges Leningrad, Cadence Weapon, so on and so forth.
- As a DJ, Ghislain can make a club bounce and has been rinsing out ‘Blazin’ to great effect. Its catchy vocals and bangin’ beats are a no-holds-barred, a cure-all for empty dancefloors.
- Side B contains two remixes, one by new Ninja signing The Bug, who reworks the track into a dubstep monster with an awesome 2 minute instrumental outro. The second remix has DJ C, a self confessed beat scholar, party scientist and ragga maniac toughening up the beat without giving up the boogie.
- Ghislain Poirier is a resident of Montreal, Quebec and has been releasing music since the turn of the century on labels such as Chocolate Industries, Shockout, Rebondir, Intr_version, Musique Large, and 12k.
- A video is in the works for ‘Blazin’ to coincide with the album release.
- Bonsound in Quebec will be promoting this single in conjunction with their campaign for No Ground Under and are pushing hard to print, internet, radio, djs and television in Quebec with Outside Music handling the rest of Canada.
