(MP3 Podcast) Kraked, 2005-09-30

In memory of Willie Hutch who died sept 19, a great guitarist/songwriter/producer who worked mainly for Motown during the 70's. He also did the soundtrack of two classic blaxploitation movies, "The Mack" and "Foxy Brown". RIP

Keep funkadelizin'!

Vu sur Eye.com :
If you've had it with the present, check out Paris-based spinner DJ Loik's tribute to soul legend Willie Hutch (pictured), who died on Sept. 19 in Dallas. Hutch co-wrote songs with The Jackson 5 and other Motown artists, but his own work was beloved by DJs who made sampling the hypnotic intro from "Brothers Gonna Work It Out" (from Hutch's 1973 soundtrack to hustler classic The Mack) a rite of passage for producers from Dr. Dre to The Chemical Brothers. "In order for us to make this thing work," goes the speech, "we've got to get rid of the pimps and the pushers and the prostitutes, and start all over again clean." Yes, but which one is the RIAA?
