Hommage 2 aux feu Mothers of Invention, "Weasels" se compose principalement de morceaux live agrémentés d'over-dubs à-la-Zappa (bandes ultra-speedées, bruits de bouche, collages de différents concerts) essayant de retranscrire en audio la folie théâtrale des Mothers sur scène ( dans '"relude to the afternoon of a sexually aroused mask gas", Roy Estrada joue le rôle du masque à gaz !!!... ). On y trouve aussi deux morceaux studio dont une version chantée de "Oh No" et une version jusqu'ici seulement sortie en single de "My guitar wants to kill your mama". Si "Weasels" est précieux pour les amateurs des Mothers c'est aussi un disque assez difficile a aborder car c'est avant tout un clin d'oeil d'initié à une époque et à une formation qu'il vaut mieux prendre le temps de découvrir sur d'autres albums pour mieux revenir sur celui-ci par la suite.
