En réponse à Paul 'Mr. tambourine girl' McCartney, Frank Zappa sort cet album avec sa pochette parodiant celle de "Sergent Pepper..." Les paroles, fustigeant les clichés hippies sont à hurler de rire ("Flower Punk") et on continue à douter de la franchise de Frankie qui a toujours prétendu ne pas toucher aux drogues.... Ici les morceaux sont courts, la guitare virtuose pour une fois en retrait permet à Zappa de diriger, sourire aux lèvres, une formation dont l'éclectisme nous fait attendre, le joint entre les dents, les prochaines aventures. Inutile de préciser que l'album fut un flop commercial.
