Info :
Cookin' On 3 Burners are a Melbourne based three piece deep funk trio comprising of Lance Ferguson (The Bamboos, Lanu, No Comply – Bamboo Shack/Equatorial/Local People Records) on guitar, Ivan Khatchoyan (Choi – Equatorial Records) on drums and keys-man Jake Mason. 'Cressy St Breakdown' has become the proven champion debut release of Sydney label. Equatorial label bosses No Comply (Lanu, Bennson) have turned in a shoulder smouldering, low slung bomb in their forever-rising remix that's just dying for Hip Hop and Freestyle Djs to drop a'ccapellas on top of. Sydney beatsmith Rephrase continues to show his prowess as the country's go-to-guy of funky breaks with a no holds barred and no excuses made speaker kicker, just mind yourself on the 'breakdown'...

Press Release :
Debut release on KNOWFOOWL. Serious ass wigglin' modern funk straight outta Melbourne. Their self released 7" got played by MR SCRUFF and QUANTIC and is feat on the "STAY ON THE GROOVE" CD (FREESTYLE). Feats a downtempo remix from NO COMPLY (LANU, BENNSON) and a funky breaks mix from REPHRASE. Sweet! The original mix should appeal to fans of FUNK 45/NEW MASTERSOUNDS, etc while the NO COMPLY mix should get fans of NINJA TUNE, DEEP WATER, etc head noddin and last but definitely not least the funky breaks remix from Sydney's REPHRASE should appeal to fans of FORT KNOX, JALAPENO, ALL GOOD FUNK WEAPONS and the like.
