3 ans que nous n'avions eu de nouvelles de Burning Spear, depuis le "Live in Montreux" de 2001 (et le DVD "Home to my roots" enregistré lors de la tournée 2000 en Afrique du Sud), et les voilà qui reviennnent avec... un nouvel album de reggae roots! Non? Si! Winston Rodney est allé enregistrer les 12 tracks de l'album "Freeman" aux studios Harry J, en Jamaïque. En fait son dernier album studio, "Calling Rastafari" datait déjà de 1999, et même s'il ressasse encore aujourd'hui toujours les mêmes thèmes (ça dure depuis 1973 maintenant), on est bien contents de l'avoir dans notre paysage musical, le Spear. Keep it burning!
