Press Release :
After the release of their full length in march 2008 lot of people including djs such as Gilles Peterson, Snowboy and Jazzman Gerald have been raving about Baby Charles. Now the Brighton-based combo is back firing on all cylinders with their second single from their critically aclaimed debut album - 'Hard Man to Please'. This is a heavyweight sixties James Brown inspired groove with an infectious 6/8 time signature. Not only can you tell that UK soul sensation Dionne Charles sings from the very bottom of her heart, but you will also notice that her voice is getting better and better... Just check out the brand new and unreleased "Jackson Fingers" on the flip side. The band have created a brand new groove for this release, that could work just as well as a sixties soundtrack, as well as a dance-floor friendly slab of soul-jazz. Allk previous three Baby Charles 45s sold out pretty quickly so... watch out!"Hard man to please" available from 15 September 2008 on 7" / Digital download. RKX020 "Baby Charles" debut album out now on CD / LP / Digi.
