Press Release :
Alice Russell, hailed by The Guardian as "one of Britain's best-kept secrets", teams up with French producer Boub for a very special 7" single.

Taken from this summer's critically acclaimed "Under The Munka Moon II" compilation, the Boub remix of "Hurry On Now" marries Alice's a capella with a head-nodding, hip-swinging 80s-inspired reggae number; complete with pulsing bassline, carnivalesque keys and those inimitable electro-drum-sounds.

Neither Alice nor the good folks at Tru Thoughts HQ knew what was happening across the Channel until label A&R Robert Luis received the finished version in the mail, just days before 'Under The Munka Moon II' was due to be approved for manufacture.

Everyone was so impressed with the Frenman's handiwork that his track became a last minute addition to the album, and a very popular one at that - so much that Rob and Alice decide to give it an airing on vinyl.

Inspired by the lo-fi aesthetic of classic reggae 45s, this strictly limited edition 7" single comes backed by an exclusive dub version of the title track and packaged in a white paper sleeve, with 'no-frills' label artwork.

Tru Thoughts will not be mailing promotional copies of this single prior to its release, thus adding to its collectability.

Those unlucky enough to miss out on buying this record before it disappears forever can still find the Boub mix of 'Hurry On Now' on Alice's last album, 'Under The Munka Moon II'.
