Press Release :
Get ready for their first 12inch out on Unique - with a total of 3 remixes of their 'Akwaaba' and 'Afro Riddim' tunes supporting the release of their debut album 'Afro Soul System' (UNIQ131). This single features 'Akwaaba' which has been released on 7inch - with two different remix treatments of Tru Thoughts very own Jonathan Radford aka Diesler.

On the A side Diesler joins forces with singer Laura Vane and Ton van der Kolk, the bassplayer of AIFF, who contributes a funky bass / slap groove to the track - it all melts into an endless groove pattern of drums and basslines, a stand out afro disco fusion that simply creates a lot of positive energy throughout.

The B side features the strong afro house grooves of afro riddim with the vocalist / toaster Crucial T., the former singer of the ska group The Continentals and singer on AIFFs other sideproject The Soul Snatchers. It starts from halftime vibe into an straight uptempo groover, you can´t miss its beauty...

'Akwaaba's second Diesler treatment features the track almost with its original jazzy overal feel but cut up with nice breaks and of course the vocal of Laura Vane on top. Let them take you to a powerful trip into their own world of afro funk!
