Afronaught (Orin Walters) Biography : '89/'90 : First started listening to electronic dance music, checking house on the pirates and early warehouse raves.

'91/'92 : Started producing tracks as Spank Da Monkey, Works Of Art and Obsession and set up Mousetrap Records. Djing on various pirates such as Power, Girls and Faze 1 FM and organising some of the most notorious warehouse parties while holding residencies at The Astoria, Busby's and other quality House nights in London.

'93-'95 : After spending almost a year running nights @ clubs such as The Shelter and Kaboom in Chicago with DJs like Derrick Carter, Spencer Kincy, and Mark Farina he returned to the UK to a residency at Ronnie Scott's spinning US Garage and House. Around the same time Orin started working seriously in the studio with fellow DJs Phil Asher (as Blak 'n Spanish), Daz-I-Kue, Rocky and Diesel, Dom Moir and Booker T for releases on Mousetrap.

'95/'96 : Mutual influences, like Smack and MAW, and mutual friend Phil Asher hooked me up with Seiji and my Mousetrap label promptly released Seiji's first Disorient project. Founded new label Suckers Need Bass with the first release, 'Hear My Call' by Basshook & Friends released in the US on the legendary Emotive Records.

'97 : Closed down Mousetrap Records and affiliated labels after 45 releases. brought Seiji, Alex Phountzi and Kaidi Tatham to the 'Attic' and an already close group including Scott 1200 and Daz-I-Kue which sparked the beginning of Bugz in the Attic, now a burgeoning collective of producers, musicians and DJs which has gone from strength to strength producing tracks, LPs and remixes for scores of quality labels.

2001 release my debut Afronaught LP, 'Shapin Fluid'- featuring the seminal 'Transcend Me' – on Apollo/R&S, recording as Orange Water for Archive (Italy), Everyday People for Earth Projects, Afro Force for 2000 Black among others.

The last few years have seen me moving into new musical territories such as my Puerto Rican adventure and pushing the boundaries under the monikers Afronaught, Neon Phusion (with Kaidi Tatham and Alex Phountzi) & BUGZ while USC and Soul Tuition are collaborations harking back to my House roots

2006 will include the first Bugz in the attic album , a second Neon Phusion LP and new Afronaught / Puerto Rican LP with some mad new material in addition to working on projects with other innovative producers/musicians like Domu, Phil Asher, Kaidi Tatham, Daz-I-Kue and the rest of the Bugz in the Attic crew. "Strengthening the label, Bitasweet, and concentrating on Djing "promoting the BUGPHUNK sound at more cutting edge clubs/events world-wide are also major priorities for me Next year 2006".
