J'avais découvert le label World Circuit en 1993 avec le formidable album de blues africain "Talking Timbuktu" d'Ali Farka Touré et Ry Cooder. Puis la grosse claque de l'an dernier, c'était le Buena Vista Social Club. Le succès critique m'a encouragé à pousser mes recherches un peu plus loin: sur le même label, sont sorti récemment trois autres merveilles: ce Afro-Cuban All Stars, l'album solo du pianist Rubén González et le Sierra Maestra.
Même s'il n'est pas tout aussi merveilleux et lumineux que le "Buena vista Social Club" produit par Ry Cooder, "A toda Cuba le gusta" fera briller de tous ses feux le soleil de Cuba sur vos platines. Que vivent encore longtemps les ténors de la musique cubaine.
