Press Release :
Rebtuz is back! After a trip to the African continent this is what was found: Tropical. Dancefloor. Destruction. Stand well back! First up on this limited four tracker is Zero dB Vs Switch doing "A Bit Pomba". This one's a heavy dancefloor blend of Incredible Bongo Band beats, nasty acid synths and a panned and filtered Latino vocal that tears the floor right up! Woo-hoo! Next we get Fela Kuti's "United States Of Africa" remixed by Me & You. This is a grimey / broken beat edit of an early Fela tune, which you might remember from the Me & You double CD "Music For Birthdays", but here's its first vinyl outing. Also on the remix tip, Diesler takes on Osibisa's "Music For Gong Gong", turning out another wicked slice of broken Afro grooves. He also gives The Ethiopian Quintet's "Askum" a run for its money, reworking this underground funky Afro-jazz tune with nuff bump'n'hustle for the floor. Superb stuff - not to be missed!
