This is the third episode in our filmed interviews series after Céu's and Neal Sugarman's. We've met The Black Seeds backstage before their show in Paris (La Maroquinerie 'May 2nd) for an exclusive interview with singer and guitarist Barnaby Weir. He tells us about the beginning of the band and explains why the NZ scene and especially the Wellington scene is so strong and creative (with his band, Trinity Roots, Fat Freddy's Drop, The Shogun Orchestra, etc. - for more info download This is Kiwi Music mix here). Besides, we were allowed to film a few live tracks at the beginning of their gig. On stage the eight-piece unveils a danceable and irresistible set of afro-funk, psyched-out pop and electro-dub our friend Fred Feuillet has captured to a T.
