Savages - Dawntempo EP

The Budapest-based multi-talented Nandor Kürtössy a.k.a. Savages was already making waves with his first solo album Five Finger Discount, released in 2008 on Chameleon Records. Now this Hiperbole EP includes the first two tracks of his follow-up album Dawntempo, and shows again his wonderful taste for beautiful and extraordinary downbeats. Hajnalhang impresses with a lovely string arragement and some beautifully woven melodies, coupled with a nice and lush downtempo rhythm which perfectly melts with the music. Russian top-producer Valique turns the original into a real conscious and Jazz-driven theme for the next dawn with rich live instrumentation. Fun comes along with more moody and hazy vibes, some perfectly balanced piano melodies and vibraphone licks that make you want to fade. French producer Napz turns the original into a more eclectic version with his electronics and his wonderful sounding beat arragements.
