Paris DJs Soundsystem presents Outernational Ska & Reggae Dub Covers

Paris DJs Soundsystem Outernational Ska And Reggae Dub Covers

This is Paris DJs mix #400 and the last one, closing the curtain on our cult podcast of mixes which gathered 3 millions of downloads in 7 years of activity. We'll now take a long-awaited rest, focusing on the Paris DJs label in 2013. This was an amazing adventure, thanks to everyone who participated in one form or another. We feel we've raised the podcast standard of mixed music to a very high level and can't wait to see some other people taking up the mantle while meeting the same requirements. Our monthly playlist will still happen every 30 days (so don't hesitate to keep on sending us quality records and music), and you'll have to switch to our podcast of 'Virtual Releases' to keep on following the music we publish for free… We'll be doing a few DJ sets here and there, and maybe start some Paris DJs parties soon… So happy new year everyone and enjoy this last dish of reggae covers and remixes, including a yet unreleased track from the upcoming Silvertones album produced by Grant Phabao (out soon on Paris DJs Records), and the famous roots reggae of Lee Fields that's available in our first compilation 'Dis Is Good For You - Tropical Grooves & Afrofunk International'. Oh! And our editor-in-chief Djouls is more than happy to close this podcast show with a track from a ska band from New Dehli...

Press Release :

10 different blogs or websites run by people supporting us, collaborating with us or just following us have accepted to host an exclusive thematic mix of covers, in the vein of our cult 'Molesting Laura' series, mixed by Grant Phabao & Djouls from the Paris DJs Soundsystem and illustrated by Ben Hito.

One more mix in this series will be offered on Paris DJs, between dec 25 and dec 31st. This mix will be the 400th one posted on the site and the last one of the Paris DJs podcast. As with the closing part of fireworks, we wanted to do a 'bouquet final', releasing 11 mixes in just a few days...

But this is not the end, Paris DJs is now a label releasing something new every week, with lots of surprises and collaborations to happen in 2013. We intend to keeping on painting the Internet wind in many ways. Thanks for staying connected.

a sad day, the end of the best podcasts ever. Thanks for all your mixes, all your energy, all the vibes and all the sounds you brought to our ears. You were the best website on earth and by far. Hopefully, you will come back after a rest and once you realize that there is no contender to take the lead, we need you. Peace and lots of love.

During those 7 years, you've been my constant source of new and original sound. You've taught me how to listen to music and how to discover new one.
