Paris DJs Soundsystem presents Mr. Chop

Paris DJs Soundsystem presents Mr. Chop

Welcome to the groovy noise and heavy drums world of Mr. Chop, the multi-talented producer, engineer, and multi-instrumentalist we recently interviewed (read it here) and featured in our top 10 albums of 2011. This introductory mix, presented in collaboration with Now-Again Records, was something Paris DJs wanted to do for a long time, and our enthousiasm must have spreaded to Mr. Chop since he enthousiasticaly produced 2 new exclusive tracks just in time for this blend of his productions. This one's for the heavy psychedelic music lovers, pure hip hop-spirited, hard, fuzzy and funky grooves on acid!

Paris DJs Soundsystem presents 1985, 1986 & 1987 - Standards, Versions and Revamps Vol.26

We've reached 1985 and most of music is in a really bad shape. Music marketing is starting to morph thanks to the Grateful Dead who re-invented the direct-to-fan business the previous year, but music production is still hitting an unsurpassed low, almost everywhere. It might come as a surprise to...

Paris DJs Soundsystem presents 1984 - Standards, Versions and Revamps Vol.25

1984 is the tipping point, the limit before things start to go really sideways for a few years in music… Out of the 12 tracks we picked here, two were already released in 1982 on small labels or pressings, and one was recorded live in Japan in 1983, so we're cheating a little bit. But the point is...
