Paris DJs Soundsystem Sweaty Blues and Funk Rock Covers

This is the 4th is a series of 10 mixes of thematic covers hosted on 10 different blogs/websites, announcing or celebrating the Paris DJs mix #400 to be aired at right after christmas… A chance for us to introduce Le Blues du Robot, a French blog spreading some good vibes by Grégory Del Campo from Nantes, France. This mix, as the title implies, focuses on covers of rock classics with a few funk hits on the rocks thrown in for good measure. The selections have been prepared by Djouls, mixed and mastered by Grant Phabao, and each mix comes with a unique design from illustrator Ben Hito. It's the same kind of vibe as our 'Molesting Laura' series, but without the 'molesting Laura' in the title... Featuring Anthony Joseph & The Spasm Band, Aretha Franklin, Charles Bradley and Menahan Street Band, Chico Arnez, David Clayton-Thomas, Duke Williams & The Extremes, El Chicano, Hindu Love Gods, Leslie Overdrive, Richard Stoute, Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings, Tina Turner

Press Release :

10 different blogs or websites run by people supporting us, collaborating with us or just following us have accepted to host an exclusive thematic mix of covers, in the vein of our cult 'Molesting Laura' series, mixed by Grant Phabao & Djouls from the Paris DJs Soundsystem and illustrated by Ben Hito.

One more mix in this series will be offered on Paris DJs, between dec 25 and dec 31st. This mix will be the 400th one posted on the site and the last one of the Paris DJs podcast. As with the closing part of fireworks, we wanted to do a 'bouquet final', releasing 11 mixes in just a few days...

But this is not the end, Paris DJs is now a label releasing something new every week, with lots of surprises and collaborations to happen in 2013. We intend to keeping on painting the Internet wind in many ways. Thanks for staying connected.

Thanks in advance, but all I got 39.4 MB unknown file (zip/rar?) which both on my PC at home & Mac at work can't open, all I get is a 'file is corrupted' message....

Add a ".mp3" extension to the file and you should be able to play it.

David Clayton-Thomas!!???!!! Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit... Are you for real ?
I think he's the worst singer ever, really. He's the main reason why Blood Sweat & Tears (Mark II) sucks, He' s overdoing every line he sings without an ounce of soul in him.
Hell! In playgrounds swing sets stops abruptly and swingers parties turn to Mormon weeding receptions when he passes by, 'cos he can't sing nor swing ... the epidemy of a bad throaty voice .

Even though the first track has some similarities to Pink Floyd's "Money", it's an original by Bosco Mann... damn!
