Ocote Soul Sounds - A Pesar La Vida feat. Quantic & Chico Mann (7", Wonderwheel Recordings, 2016)

The last time Antibalas was in Paris, we had the chance to listen to a few new tracks from the Ocote Soul Sounds project - extracted from recent recording sessions gathering Martin Perna (Antibalas), Adrian Quesada (Brownout/Echocentrics) and Quantic (Tru Thoughts) — three of the most talented producers of their generations working together! After many months' wait, here's finally some vinyl news of those sessions, just a little 45 for the moment — the A-side of which furthermore opens the CD compilation 'Turntables On The Caribbean' — but always this ultimate fusion of afrobeat and psychedelic latin funk, out of time and deliciously addictive.
