Nostalgia 77 - Simmer Down - out on Tru Thoughts

Nostalgia 77 Simmer Down
Nostalgia 77 - Simmer Down
(7"/Digital) Tru Thoughts TRUCD228, 2011-02-28

First single from Benedic Lamdin a.k.a. Nostalgia 77's long-awaited fourth solo album, The Sleepwalking Society. Nostalgia 77's previous accolades include Gilles Peterson's BBC Worldwide award for 'Jazz Track of the Year' and the BBC's John Peel 'Play More Jazz' award. The Sleepwalking Society sees the acclaimed jazz producer mining folk and blues influences, and bringing to the fore his own songwriting talents for a more personal album of instantly classic-sounding songs, with stunning vocals from rising german singer Josa Peit, coupled with more esoteric instrumental themes.
