Mr Scruff - Bunch Of Keys / Cat & Mouse (Version 2)

The Scruffy one does himself proud with two ace cuts lopped from the second disc of his last album for Ninja Tune. 'Bunch Of Keys' is an accomplished jazz-soul groove, set slow and low but with enough trickling funk and wandering solos to keep you locked into the shuffle. 'Cat & Mouse (Version 2)' on the flip is a brilliant example of Scruff's penchant for Latin rhythms and salsa in particular, done here in endearingly lo-fi fashion but still killing the style cold with crafty percussion forming a tight groove before light-footed pianos and an unmistakable Brazilian spirit get caught up in the vibe.
