How good is this? Mr. Confuse shows his talent to build hard hittin’ beats in a conscious hiphop style. Drop the needle for this funky beatmonster and a prancing piano hook with classy sax stabs sure will infect you. Cool down on a massive horns break until the saxophone steps into a dirty chopped Public Enemy style. Flip for the slow burning funk groover ‘Low Life’. Starting with some catchy stabs this souldchild turns into an echo from the past. Well balanced with some delicious brass parts and rare used effects this is a real vintage style headnodder. Background: Mr. Confuse is no more a stranger to the modern funk-scene. In September 2008 he released his first solo album “Feel The Fire” on Légère Recordings with great reactions from all over the globe. While “Feel The Fire” features a lot of live musicians, he gets back to his roots with “Right on / Low Life” by strictly sampling. Well known for his heavy beat constructions Mr. Confuse is always bridging the gap between heavy-funk and modern beats. Right on Mr. Confuse!

Perfect transitional record for my DJ sets, bridging the gap between Hip-Hop & Heavy Funk.
