King Porter Stomp - Warning (10", Feet Up, 2014)

If Paris DJs' connection with Austin, Texas, runs deep, there's also a lot to say about the one we've always had with Brighton, UK. One day, we'll produce a track or a remix with the 8-piece hip hop/reggae live band King Porter Stomp from over there. It's just meant to happen, they're too cool and original… In the meantime, the band is putting out tunes relentlessly, and their productions keeps on getting better everytime, which is always a very good sign. They recorded this new stepping reggae/hip hop monster at The Levellers' studio, got it mixed by one of the best soundmen out there, Prince Fatty, also from Brighton, and managed to get a dub version from the legendary Nick Manasseh. Self-released on their own Feet Up Records label, the single is available digitally and on a limited 10 inch vinyl EP. You've been warned.

Brighton's rebellious UK 8 piece, King Porter Stomp have teamed up with reggae legend Prince Fatty to create the brand new, heavy hitting single 'WARNING'.

With trademark tight horns, heavy bass and layered guitar work, this is a deep rolling dub reggae rocker with lyrics that throw blows of realism and revolution.

The Warning does not stop there!

For the real sound systems and dancehall heads the drums get blessed on a limited edition 10” vinyl with an exclusive version from pioneering dub producer Nick Manasseh on the flip. King Porter Stomp bring Fatty & Manasseh together on the same record for the very first time to some serious dub effect that is guaranteed to set an ital vibe.

King Porter Stomp are a solid group of musicians and friends, empowered by their collective passion to create unique new music. Embracing their musical diversity King Porter Stomp are releasing a string of singles of which 'Warning' is the third. Each track in the series is very different in musical style from the last but all are connected by the bands deep passion, originality and musicianship.

If you've missed the last 2 single releases then consider this a WARNING!
