Press Release :
The mighty Juice Aleem returns with a new single packed with remixes, re-works and general goodness from his debut album, 'Jerusalaam Come', one of iTunes' hip hop albums of the year, a Record of the Week in The Independent and a must-have for any self-respecting lover of MC-power.

The original of 'Rock My Hologram' was produced by none other than Novamute star Si Begg and for this single Si has turned in not one, not two, but three separate remixes. Once he'd started he didn't seem to be able to stop. Not that we're complaining, as each of these heavy dubsteppers is worth checking out in its own right, all squelching bass and insistent percussion.

Meanwhile, new Big Dada signing Offshore takes the original of 'Higher Higher' and warps it out into a strange, Eastern-tinged banger that will once again have his supporters salivating. Juice then pulls in the posse cut to end all posse cuts over the orignal 'Higher Higher' beat. Featuring Serocee, Rider Shafique, Charles Moopowe, Blackitude, Kosyne, TY, TheWhatSupreme and Justice Hotep, the words just keep on coming.

Best known for his work with New Flesh and Gamma, as well as collaborations with everyone from Coldcut, Evil 9, Freeland and Hextstatic, Juice Aleem is on the of the UK's finest, most intelligent MCs. Failure to support his records is a civil offence. Repent now before we see you in Court.

Venezuela 70 - Cosmic Visions Of A Latin American Earth - Venezuelan Experimental Rock In The 1970s (CD/2LP, Soul Jazz, 2016)

English label Soul Jazz Records released this summer a collection of experimental rock recorded in Venezuela in the 1970s, at a time when oil was flowing in abundance and consequently culture rather well subsidized. However, this music had never really got out of the country until now, it's really a...
