Press Release :
This new 12" from Domu is an essential taster of what is to come on his 'One Offs, Remixes and B Sides' double CD, out soon on Tru Thoughts. As well as the killer title track, the A side of the tasty "Springbreak" 12" also features the exclusive Domu Remix Instrumental, from his remix of "Tickles" by Sun Tzu Sound – a highly anticipated nugget which has had forums buzzing with people who missed the limited pressing of the track first time round. On the flip you'll find a new mix down of the previously digital-only Domu release, "Something New", as well as the instrumental cut which is exclusive to this 12".

An incredible collection, spread over 2 CDs, 'One Offs, Remixes and B Sides' is bursting at the seams with the many standout musical moments of Domu's illustrious career to date – including remixes of tracks by the likes of Daedelus, Jazzanova, Nathan Haines and Cinematic Orchestra's seminal "Man With The Movie Camera" - along with a handful of hard-to-find, highly sought-after cuts.

Over the 15-or-so years since a teenaged Dominic Stanton first pitched up in London's Dollis Hill to sign to 4Hero's legendary Reinforced Records - with his avant garde drum and bass outfit, Sonar Circle - the man behind the many monikers has built up a formidable reputation, DJing all over the world and releasing a total of eight albums, under various guises and aliases, on labels from Talking Loud to Ninja Tune. Under the Domu name he found his main niche, emerging as one of the main players in the world of broken beat and soulful electronica. While he is primarily known as a major force in the West London broken beat crowd, Domu has always kept it fresh and taken inspiration from all manner of unlikely sources and scenes, moving with his instincts and developing further aliases and collaborations as outlets for his diverse and uninhibited musical outpourings. His releases to date, including the two Domu LPs, "Up and Down" (2001) and "Return Of The Rogue" (2005), have garnered immense support from DJs including Gilles Peterson (BBC Radio 1), Mista Jam (1Xtra), Patrick Forge (Kiss FM) and many more international tastemakers. Having done on-air interviews for a wide range of radio shows, in 2008, Domu's charisma and enthusiasm for new sounds made him the ideal choice to cover Benji B's BBC 1Xtra show, which led to him being given his own spot as presenter of the station's Xtra Talent show, gaining further acclaim and raising his public profile no-end. After well over a decade at the cutting edge, 'One Offs, Remixes and B Sides' will highlight Domu's musical diversity and development - not to mention the fascinating personal history that is inevitably documented by such an eclectic and dense body of work.

Speech Debelle - Freedom Of Speech
(CD/LP/Digital) Big Dada Recordings BD193, 2012-02-06

Two years since winning the 2009 Mercury Music Prize for her debut album, Speech Therapy, and having ridden a rollercoaster through life since then, Speech Debelle is ready to drop her second collection of music. Entitled Freedom of Speech, the album sees Speech turning from introspection to stand up, face and engage with the world around her, spitting confident themes of revolution and love. A first taste of the album came in the aftermath of this summer's riots, when Speech reacted immediately, leaking the track Blaze Up A Fire, (also featuring Roots ManuvaRealism), a track about political revolution written months before. Now the build-up begins to the release of Freedom of Speech in early February 2012 with the free download of the track Studio Backpack Rap. From political to musical revolution, Speech describes the track as being "all about virtual instrumentation and an ode to KwesSpeech Therapy, while showcasing just one aspect of her remarkable new album.
