Doctor L, emminent artist of the emerging french hip hop scene (Assasin, Kabal), free-lance member of the now classic french touch movement (Source Lab I & II compilations with Air, Daft Punk...), talented producer (Lenine, Tony Allen, Screamin' Jay Hawkins, Bumcello, Mike 'Clip' Payne & Gary Mudbone Cooper From Funkadelic, James Blood Ulmer) and sought-after remixer (Neneh Cherry, Salif Keita, Gangstarr, Ice-T, David Murray & Pharoah Sanders...), has also four albums under his own name (Exploring The Inside World, Temple On Every Street, Monkey Dizzyness, Forgotten Tracks From The Hard Drive) and numerous satellites projects (Psyco, Psyco On Da Bus, Kactus Hunters, Rare Moods, Not Your Frequency, Broken, Da Linck). One of the most essential artist of the last ten years has now launched his own label, Mind Records and he's back in 2009 with his most ambitious record yet.
Class A guests (Asa, David Walters, Tony Allen, Michael 'Clip' Payne, Allonymous...), timeless songs, conscious texts, huge sound, We Got Lost is an accessible and sophisticated album blending the major influences of the 'Doctor' (the folk music of his Irish ancestors, the groove of Africa, the psychedelism of the 70's Masters) and his particular characteristics (remarkable production, original and modern beats, arrangements...).

Déjà 25 ans de carrière, Doctor L (aka Liam Farrell) est un artiste aux talents multiples (musicien, producteur, compositeur pour le cinéma et le théatre, réalisateur, remixeur...) et aux collaborations prolifiques (Lenine, Leos Carax, Tony Allen, Bashung, Screamin' Jay Hawkins, Cedric Klapish, Bumcello, Neneh Cherry, Rodolphe Burger, James 'Blood' Ulmer, Jacques Higelin, Passi, Salif Keita, Stomy Bugsy, Pharoah Sanders, Gangstarr, Les Rita Mitsouko, David Murray, Omar Sosa, Grant Phabao, Ice-T, GangStarr...).

Membre du mythique groupe rap Assassin, auteur d'une dizaine d'albums sous son nom (ou divers pseudos) dont certains ont acquis un statut culte ('Exploring The Inside World', 'Psyco On Da Bus'...), Doctor L revient en 2009 avec son album le plus ambitieux et le plus abouti à ce jour.

il innove et met la barre trés haut dans le paysage musical.
la maniére dont il "remodule" ses influences est d'une subtilitée déconcertante...
un artiste complet (à mon gout)

©© les Freres Smith - the Smiths brothers - is a Paris based 14 piece collective specialized in afrobeat and ethio flavoured grooves. These music smugglers have been touring the French and European scenes for more than 10 years, always with the same blasting energy. Well known for its explosive live interventions, the band is now releasing its first real album after various collaborations with artists such as Tony Allen, Kutiman, Franck Biyong, or Kokolo, among others. Already accounting as a reference on the Parisian live scene and after a first 7" single on Melting Pot Music, the crew is now releasing its very first album!! 11 crazy afro joints mashed up with as many influences as there are family members in this band, and gathering the cream of the Parisian afrobeat family. Produced by les Freres Smith themselves with support and precious help by mythical afrobeat label Comet Records led by Eric Trosset, featuring the great Tony Allen and the crazy guitarist minister Oghene Kologbo from Fela's Africa 70, the album was mixed and mastered by experienced producer Grant Phabao (T.I.M.E.C.), with the help of afrobeat specialist Loik Dury (Kraked Records) who mixed one of the album's tracks.
