Calibro 35 - Ogni Riferimento A Persone... - Out now on Calibro 35

Calibro 35 Ogni Riferimento A Fatti Accaduti E Puramente Casuale
Calibro 35 - Ogni Riferimento A Persone Esistenti O A fatti Realmente Accaduti E Puramente Casuale
(CD/LP/Download) Calibro 35, 2012-03-31

When we did Tommaso Colliva's interview (Calibro 35 founder, producer and mastermind) last November, he told us the concept of Calibro 35's upcoming album was to 'put five italian musicians in a studio in Brooklyn for five days and see what comes out of it...' Well, what comes out is a great piece of work, maybe Calibro 35 best album to date, and one of most addictive records of 2012. The italian wizards haven't given up their soundtrack obsessions, but this time you will only find two covers on Ogni Riferimento... (one Morricone, one Piero Piccioni's works). All the other tracks were composed by the band grooving at its best. The superb production from Tommaso Colliva enhances the funk/jazz and vintage 70s pop compositions. This direct and epic sound reveals what has become an impressive jam band.
