QWARTZ, PRIX DES MUSIQUES NOUVELLES EDITION 4 - 3/4/5 AVRIL 2008
Qu’est ce que Qwartz? Un concours avec une série de prix/awards destinés à récompenser artistes, labels, graphistes et manifestations électroniques et de musiques nouvelles (électro acoustique, noise, indus, etc.). Cette année, 80 000 € de dotations vont être remis aux différents gagnants grâce à des partenaires institutionnels manifestant ainsi un intérêt certain pour les musiques parfois les plus expérimentales de l’électro.
Vous pouvez consulter sur le site qwartz.org les nominés des différentes sélections. Un jury a sélectionné en blind test des artistes parfois surprenants.
Qwartz, c’est aussi :
- Une cérémonie de remise de prix au Cirque d’Hiver (Paris 11), Vendredi 4 avril 2008.
- Un village des labels au Cirque d’Hiver le même jour.
- Une soirée d’ouverture à la Maison des Métallos (Paris 11), Jeudi 3 avril 2008.
- Une double soirée complémentaire àla Bellevilloise et à la Java, Samedi 5 Avril

Interview de Alexandre Grauer - Qwartz - Prix des Musiques Nouvelles
Cela faisait longtemps que je souhaitais donner un coup de projecteur sur un des éléments parmi les plus tenaces et les plus actifs dans le domaine de la défense de la musique et de ses artistes, j'ai nommé monsieur Alexandre Grauer, président de l'association Pro/Art et fondateur des Qwartz, Prix des Musiques Nouvelles.
Sa dévotion depuis de nombreuses années, ainsi que la qualité de son travail et le concret de ses résultats en fait même un des rares gusses encore crédibles dans tout ce tralala de politique culturelle (à ne pas confondre avec la politique des industries culturelles monsieur le Ministre) et de dérives simili-mafieuses.
Il m'a par exemple passé un exemplaire du livre auquel il a participé récemment (avec les sociétés d'auteurs et d'artistes-interprêtes, entre autres), intitulé Livre blanc pour la relance de la politique culturelle - Pour une nouvelle politique de la propriété intellectuelle en faveur des auteurs et des artistes-interprètes, un ouvrage un peu technique mais très basique, finalement, dénonçant les dérives actuelles et à venir. Ce livre blanc a été remis à tous les candidats à l'élection présidentielle, ils ont tous bien repompé des bouts dedans pour le programme, sans toutefois jamais citer leur source.
Pour résumer, chiffres et textes de loi à l'appui, le bouquin met en lumière une situation proche de l'esclavagisme entre les auteurs et artistes et les exploitants de leurs oeuvres et interprétations. Certains ont parlé de "sonnette d'alarme" à son sujet. Il faut savoir que sans auteurs et artistes, il n'y a plus de création, plus d'art, et c'est la fin de l'humanité qui s'annonce, ni plus, ni moins. Pour faire une rapide analogie, supprimez les chants des oiseaux, et ce sera la fin du monde en quelques semaines.
